During the spring 2024 semester, IUP will transition to a new system for the MyIUP portal.  

The main function of the portal will remain the same: access to university systems, tools, forms, and more. If you access something through MyIUP now, you'll still access it in the new system*. Content in the portal has been refined and reduced to make finding what you need faster and less confusing. And the new system is more user, and mobile, friendly.

What is it going to be called?

We'll continue to call the portal MyIUP. 

When referring to the different systems in announcements and updates, "current portal" will refer to the system you are used to using, and "new portal" will refer to the new one.

 

How will I access the portal?

During the semester as we transition systems, the current portal will be live and available to all users. Current students and employees can access the current portal as they normally do, including directly at my.iup.edu or on the iup.edu/myiup web page. By the end of the semester, all links and redirects will direct to the new portal. 

 

How do I learn more?

This site will have information and updates on the change and timeline. There will also be recordings of the information sessions and demonstrations held in the spring semester for students and employees. Look for updates in the Pathfinder and IUP Now through the semester, too.

What's New

The new system for MyIUP is responsive, user-friendly, and provides a more streamlined way to access your tools and information.

Streamlined Experience

New integrations with Outlook, OneDrive, Advise, and more bring many of your most-used university tools into a single place. Check your email, access your class schedule, and more—all from the portal Dashboard.

User-Friendly Interface

Simplified information and a modern, responsive interface create an easier-to-use system. Use the Discover feature to find and select just the cards you need, and add them to your Dashboard.

Customizable Dashboard

The customizable Dashboard provides one-click access to your most-used and needed cards. Add, remove, and reorganize your cards to create your unique Dashboard.

What's Changing

A new product means some changes, but the new features provide a better user experience and faster access to content.

Interactive Discover Tool

Instead of all of the content being on the page all of the time, the new portal system allows you to select what you need for your Dashboard, and leave out what you don't. Use the Discover tool to find the cards and content you need. Click the bookmark icon to add it to your Dashboard, and that's it! You can reorganize the cards if you want, and remove them from your Dashboard when you don't need them anymore. 

Reorganized Content

In an effort to streamline the portal, duplicate content has been removed to reduce clutter and content has been reorganized. Commonly used cards will be added to your Dashboard, and you can use the Discover tool to explore the other available cards.

New Mobile App

IUP Mobile is getting an update, too. The new mobile app is the MyIUP portal delivered as an app on your phone or other mobile device. Cards that you add and remove from one place sync to the other, and notifications and announcements are delivered to both systems, so you'll always be up-to-date whichever you use.
