Treble and Bass Clef Choirs

  • Professor Ryan Beeken with students at a choral rehearsal
  • The IUP Treble and Bass Clef Choirs (MUSC 132) are open to singers campus-wide who desire a quality choral experience featuring outstanding repertoire for men’s and women’s voices. Equally as important is an atmosphere of collegiality where lasting memories and musical experiences can be gained through high artistic standards and the pursuit of excellence.

The ensembles rehearse every Tuesday and Thursday from 5:05 to 6:35 p.m. in Cogswell Hall, Room 120, and are offered for one or zero credits. Women should register for MUSC 132 001. Men should register for MUSC 132 002. Students with an academic load over 15 credits may register for zero credit; an override can be obtained from the Music Department office in Cogswell Hall.

Membership is open to all students—no audition is required. The director will assist students during the first week of classes to determine which voice part is most appropriate. Simply register for MUSC 132 001 (women) or MUSC 132 002 (men) and start singing!
