Established in 1975, the Laurel Highlanders Pipes and Drums have a rich history. The IUP Community Music School is proud to offer a class in this unique and historic instrument!

In this introductory course, students will learn to play a practice chanter, striving for excellence in rudimentary fingering, tone production, and performance of songs. With serious practice, students should be able to perform with a Scottish pipe band in six months to one year.
