Friends of the IUP Libraries

  • The Friends of the IUP Libraries has been established by the IUP Libraries in order to improve library resources for students and faculty members. Friends are supporters of and/or donors to the IUP Libraries. Gatherings are sponsored once each Fall and Spring with a program focusing on library resources.

    The goals of the Friends:

    • To provide a medium for encouraging gifts and bequests of funds, as well as for books and manuscripts that support the curriculum of the university.
    • To encourage an interest in learning through books and reading.
    • To make library resources better known to users.
    • To promote an understanding of the library’s mission and its role in the life of the university.

The Friends often meet in Breezedale, the Victorian mansion on campus, with refreshments following the program. Watch for announcements of future programs in the Friends newsletter, Ex Libris, and elsewhere, or contact the library for more information (724-357-2330 or 724-357-2330).
