IT Services is pleased to
announce that IUP has transitioned its student e-mail system (I-mail) to
Microsoft Office 365 on March 20, 2018. IUP students have each receive 50 GB of mail
storage, a huge increase from the 300 MB provided by the I-mail system,
while also providing a modern, web-based interface using Outlook Web Access
(OWA). The cloud-based nature of Office 365 provides access to the
latest versions of software directly from the vendor and easy portability to
multiple mobile devices. Students have also received access to the
Microsoft OneDrive file hosting service as part of the migration.
What e-mail folders were converted during the migration?
All e-mail folders with the exception of JunkMail, Trash, and Deleted Items.
What is the Office 365 e-mail migration process?
You will be notified when your account is ready to be migrated. After it’s migrated, you can access your e-mail via the Outlook web application at mail.iup.edu. If your mobile device is enrolled in our device management, BYOD service, your new account will be automatically configured on your device. If you e-mail account is manually configured on your mobile device, you will need to enroll your device by following these instructions.
If I have contacts or calendar items in my I-mail account, what will happened to those?
By default, contacts and calendar items for students were not migrated. If you have contacts or calendar items you would like to have migrated, please follow the instructions below.

Can I still log in with my e-mail alias?
No, you can no longer log in with your alias.
What password do I use for Office 365?
Office 365 takes advantage of single sign-on (SSO), so you will use your network/MyIUP password.
How do I set up my migrated account on my mobile device?
To set up e-mail on your mobile device, please use the following instructions.
How do I reset my password in Office 365?
Since your Office 365 password is the same as your network password, you can reset your password via iaccounts.iup.edu. If you changed your MyIUP password while logged on to a PC on the IUP network, you will need to log off and then log back on.
You also need to make certain you update your password on any wireless devices (laptop, smartphone, table) and any mail apps that you use.
How do I install a local copy of Office 365 on my personal machine?
Follow these instructions to install your personal copy of Office.
Do I have to install Office on my personal machine?
You do not need to install a copy of on your personal computer if you do not wish, since you will be able to access your apps via the web.
If you are using the Outlook client, you will need to reconfigure Outlook to work with your Microsoft Office 365 account.
