What’s Happening for Human Development and Family Science Majors
You’ll have opportunities for activities outside of the classroom that will expand your credentials and enthusiasm for the field. Near campus, there are YMCAs, United Way offices, homeless and domestic violence shelters, and social service agencies that are looking for volunteers.
Child Development Lab
Our child development lab is accredited by the National Association
for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). You will have the
opportunity to work with children in the community, from infancy to age
five.
Child and Family Studies Association
The Child and Family Studies Association is a very active service club for majors and other interested students. Through the club, you can become involved in community service projects and fundraising for service organizations. You can also participate in field visits to agencies in the local community.
