Christina Huhn, Department of Foreign Languages (Spanish), and co-presenter Junko Yamamato (Slippery Rock University) facilitated a session titled “University K–12 collaboration: Promoting language study and teacher education together,” a networking session at the Pennsylvania State Language Association annual conference on October 16.

The annual session presented information on the current status of language education in Pennsylvania. It also provided an opportunity for university and K-12 faculty throughout the state to share points of view and initiate collaborations in support of building a stronger pipeline for extended sequences of language study between K-12 and university study and earlier recruitment of world language teachers.
