Virtual Tech Day

  • IUP, the College of Education and Communications, and Instructional Design Services would like you to join us on Wednesday, August 19, 2020, for Virtual Tech Day.

Virtual Tech Day is designed to provide high quality, internet-delivered, professional development that provides instructors with the tools to deliver online, hybrid, and face-to-face instruction. All sessions will be conducted synchronously via Zoom and will include:

    • Using the Owl camera-enabled classrooms and Zoom
    • Office 365
    • D2L Brightspace

Virtual Tech Day starts with a virtual welcome at 8:30 am from Provost Tim Moerland and Chief Information Officer Bill Balint. Following our welcome, simultaneous sessions will be offered both in the morning and afternoon. The morning sessions start at 9:00 a.m. and will conclude at 11:00 a.m. and the afternoon sessions will start at 1:00 p.m. and conclude at 3:00 p.m.

All sessions will be recorded and posted to the Virtual Tech Day course in D2L later that day in case you are not able to attend. The Virtual Tech Day course will include those sessions along with other great topics such as Adobe Creative Cloud, cybersecurity, multimedia A/V, and instructional design, to name a few.

Visit the Virtual Tech Day course (D2L) to find session recordings, additional topics, and resources.

Disclaimer: If you are unable log in to the course, contact the IT Support Center (it-support-center@iup.edu).

Join us virtually for sessions that have been designed to help assist you for the upcoming semester.

Virtual Tech Day is for IUP employees only.
