Annual Research Awards Reception—Dean’s Award for ECB

As part of 2024 Research Appreciation Week schedule of events, Department of Finance and Economics (FIEC) faculty member, Dr. Brandon Vick, received the Dean’s Award for the Eberly College of Business. This award was presented during the 30th Annual Research Awards Reception, which recognizes and celebrates outstanding research by faculty and graduate students and a commitment to sponsored research by faculty and staff.

Economist Jeffords Publishes Article in “Ecological Economics”

Available to download for free until June 18, Christopher Jeffords’ paper, “On the relationship between constitutional environmental human rights and sustainable development outcomes,” was published in Ecological Economics. Jeffords uses two different econometric frameworks to provide quantitative evidence of a positive relationship between national constitutional environmental rights provisions and sustainable development outcomes as measured by the newly developed Sustainable Development Index.

Economics Majors Recognized on Fall 2020 Dean's List

The Department of Economics is proud to announce that 27 economics majors have been named to the fall 2020 Dean’s List at IUP. These students earned a grade-point-average of 3.25 or higher while completing a minimum of 12 credits during the semester.
