Content (text, links, and images) and/or collections must be created before they can be added to a page layout. Content blocks are created in the content folders, not the page layout folders.
(If you want to make a brand new page, go to Creating a Page Layout.)
Edit in the Web browser
Always do your web editing in Firefox or Chrome only.
Log in to the staging CMS, then go to the web page you want to edit.
- Either type the web address (URL) into the browser’s web address field (make sure the beginning of the URL starts with staging.www.iup.edu), or
- Click on the A–Z link from the login page, and use the index to navigate to your website on the staging server.
From the top toolbar, click Switch to Edit. (You can also
open a page layout from within the workarea.)
You now have two editing choices: Content or Design.
To edit the page layout (rearrange the content on the page, or add or remove content on the page), click on Design. This opens the
PageBuilder menu.
(Choosing Content lets you
edit the text, images, or collections that are already on the page layout.)
