Featured News

  • Have you seen a news post on another department or office website that you would like include in your own News section? Or maybe you would like to “pin” that news post—or even one of your own—to the top your site’s News feed?

You can do this by using one of these options:

    • Imported News
Lets you display a news item from anywhere on the IUP site without needing to make a duplicate news post.

    • Highlighted News
Lets you grab any news post from anywhere on the IUP website, even one of your own, and “stick” it to the top of your News page in a special highlighted box.

“Why can’t I just make my own version of the news post?”

Sharing another department’s news is great. But, having two or more posts on the IUP website about the same topic may end up providing inaccurate information if one post is updated but the other is not. It also splits up web traffic (which can result in a lower search-engine page rank) and may create confusion if more than one page is offering the same information.

Using Imported or Highlighted news lets you display a news item from anywhere on the IUP site without needing to actually make a news post.

    • Imported News will display another site’s news posts in chronological order within your news feed.
    • Highlighted News will stick other site’s news (or even your own) to the top of the news list on your main page, and will do same while also highlighting it on your News page.
