Criminology Graduate Student Organization

  • The Criminology Graduate Student Organization (CGSO) provides information to graduate students and performs community service. Each semester, the CGSO sponsors two “Brown Bag” luncheons featuring Criminology faculty members talking on a variety of topics. Past luncheons have covered: professional development in academia, academic job searches, web-based surveys, doing research with faculty, and professionalism. In 2007, the CGSO’s annual “Bowling for Kids” raised money for Big Hearts/Little Hands of Indiana County.

Current CGSO officers are Nayab Hakim, vice president; Brooke Mathna, president and Bevan Day, treasurer.
