    Approach to Psychotherapy

I believe in a collaborative and relational approach to psychotherapy. My intention is to do what I can to help my clients identify and overcome obstacles that are in the way of their becoming the best version of themselves and who they envision themselves being. I am strongly influenced by developmental theories (attachment, interpersonal neurobiology), psychological theories (emotion-focused, psychodynamic, ACT, and other mindfulness-based approaches), as well as social theories regarding race, gender, and culture. I believe each client is unique, and I tend to integrate whatever is necessary to makes sense of how the client can best benefit from our collaboration together.
