What is CSI?

CSI is an international honor society that values academic and professional excellence in counseling. We promote a strong professional identity through members (professional counselors, counselor educators, and students) who contribute to the realization of a healthy society by fostering wellness and human dignity.

Mission Statement

Promote scholarship, research, professionalism, leadership, advocacy, and excellence in counseling, and recognize high attainment in pursuit of academic and clinical excellence in the profession of counseling.

Membership Requirements

Students will be invited to an initiation ceremony after completing at least nine credits and receiving a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Doctoral-level students who were involved in CSI during their master's program and would like to join the IUP chapter can do so via the CSI website. Students who do not currently meet these eligibility requirements can still participate in all scheduled CSI activities and events.
