The student should demonstrate ability to perform any two octave scales and perform two solos or etudes in contrasting styles, one slow and one fast. These can be selected from the list below or any work of equivalent or greater grade of difficulty.

Trombone
Students auditioning for the trombone studio should be prepared to demonstrate their ability to perform two contrasting styles of music. The music may be selected from the following list of either etudes, solos, or a combination of an etude and solo. Etudes chosen should be approximately one or two minutes in length, and solos should be approximately three to five minutes.
