The spring 2024 session officially begins on Monday, January 29, one week after the start of the IUP spring semester, with the 14-week semester continuing through Sunday, May 12.
Spring offerings will continue to include both virtual and in-person private lessons on all instruments with various levels of instructors, as well as the University Band, Indiana Community Choir, Crimson Youth Choir, and both piano and guitar classes.
Parking Information
Between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday, all posted parking requirements for the campus lots and parking garage are strictly enforced.
After 5:00 p.m. on weekdays and all day on weekends, all campus lots and the parking garage—including the reserved spaces in the garage—are free.
Spring 2024 Registration
Registration for all IUPCMS classes, ensembles, and lessons is officially open on December 4, 2023, just in time for Christmas giving! For most offerings, it will remain open through January 29.
Note 1: As it is throughout the entire year, private lesson registration is flexible and ongoing throughout the semester; however, most students sign up for a full semester of lessons, or nearly the full semester, depending on their schedules. The spring 2024 semester is 14 weeks.
Note 2: The crimson "Register Now" button is only for students new to the IUP Community Music School. Anyone who has been a student in the past should simply email community-music@iup.edu to register for the upcoming semester and with inquiries.

Registration Fee
The IUP Community Music School assesses a $25 registration fee per individual student, per semester for the fall and spring semesters. This fee supports a very small portion of the total administrative costs associated with running the school.
