Vanessa Torres, an ABD in the PhD program in health services at the University of Washington, Seattle, is facilitating a workshop on the importance of careers in public health and health services, as well as ways to prepare for them. Torres is currently pursuing the Health Behavior and Social Determinants of health concentration at Washington, and previously earned her BA in environmental Economics and Policy and Spanish Literature at UC Berkeley in 2009, as well as he MPH in Health Promotion and Behavioral Science from San Diego State University in 2014.
