The Free Application for Federal Student Aid
(FAFSA) is now available for the 2016–17 year. For maximum financial
aid consideration, submit the FAFSA to IUP by April 15, 2016.

Grant awards through the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency
(PHEAA) are funded under the Pennsylvania state budget. Because the 2016
fiscal year budget has not yet been passed by legislators, PHEAA State Grant
awards cannot be finalized.

If you are currently employed through the Federal Work Study program and wish to work during the summer, you must complete a Summer Federal Work Study Application. Forms are available at the Financial Aid Office customer service counter in the lobby of Clark Hall.

Beginning in Fall 2012, there is a new PHEAA-mandated Classroom Instruction Policy which requires IUP to monitor the percentage of coursework a student takes online on a term-by-term basis.
A student may receive a state grant award for a term as long as he or she takes at least 50 percent of their credits for that

Undergraduate students who enter IUP in the Fall of 2013 and meet academic qualifications may be considered for a new scholarship program.

The Summer 2011 PHEAA (Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency) State Grant application is now available online .
The Summer State Grant program allows eligible students attending summer courses to receive a state grant award for the Summer term.
The PHEAA grant is limited to first-baccalaureate-degree

Freshman that are coming in Fall 2011 can expect to receive their Financial Aid Award letters at their home address beginning mid-March 2011.
All other upperclassmen can expect to find their 2011–2012 financial aid awards beginning mid-June by logging into their URSA account.
