Hannah Powell ‘24
Hannah is from Altoona, PA. She is studying in Comm Media's Strategic Communications master’s program. She appreciates how her classes have helped add to her skill sets, especially in writing and using software like Adobe Premier. She enjoys the interaction with her professors and the opportunities to get real work experience as a student worker in the Marketing and Communications Office and as a graduate assistant. After graduation, she wants to work in social media marketing or health communications and eventually teach in higher education.
Austyn Hutchison ‘24
Austyn is from Ford city, PA. With a keen interest in radio and audio production, he found the strategic communication master's program to be a perfect fit to help him develop his skills in audio and music production, new approaches to writing and communication, as well as new software like Premier, Photoshop, and Cubase. The best parts of his experience have been interacting with his professors and working at the campus radio station, WIUP. After graduation, he’d like to work in radio and eventually in academia, teaching audio production.
Anthony Benaquista ‘24
Anthony is from Murrysville, PA. He’s a graduate student in the Strategic Communications master’s program, with an interest in media marketing. He enjoys the hands-on approach in his classes, which has given him the opportunity to make professional productions for real companies creating marketing plans and developing marketing materials. Through these experiences, he is getting practical skills and a feel of what being a marketing professional is about, while at the same time building his confidence in his abilities.
