Theater and Dance Productions

  • The Department of Theatre, Dance, and Performance presents several productions each year. This includes at least three plays, two dance performances, and a major musical (co-produced with the Department of Music).

    In addition, Ovations!, Indiana's premier touring performing arts series, offers additional theater, dance, and music events. View the Events Calendar for Lively Arts.

    Theater-by-the-Grove, Dance Theater, and Music Theater are funded, in part, by the IUP Student Cooperative Association.

    The IUP Percussion Ensemble and the IUP Dance Theater combine their talents to present an evening concert featuring the original compositions and choreography of alumni, students, and faculty—all “home grown” at IUP.

    From tiny seeds, mighty oaks do grow! The Acorn Project nurtures and showcases theater and dance student growth, providing opportunities for students to perform, produce, direct, write, and design. This project will showcase selected new student works.

    From the safety of their suburban stretch circle, a girls’ indoor soccer team navigates big questions and wages tiny battles with all the vim and vigor of a pack of adolescent warriors in this finalist for the 2017 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. Contains strong language and suggestive themes.
