The Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival awarded its Innovative Teaching Prize to Professor April Daras for her recent work crafting new courses and performance opportunities through applied theater at IUP.
Nicole Clark, DCN, RDN, CDE was honored as the Outstanding Educator for an undergraduate dietetic education program at both the state and national level. Clark will receive the Outstanding Educator Award in a Dietetic Undergraduate Program from the Pennsylvania
Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics on April 9, 2016, in Cranberry, Pa. She will also receive the Outstanding Educator Award on a national level from the Nutrition and Dietetic Educators of Practitioners at the regional educators’ meeting in Buffalo,
N.Y. on April 20, 2016. These awards recognize innovative teaching skills and techniques, mentoring students, leadership activities, research in dietetic education, and scientific/professional presentations/publications of faculty in accredited dietetics
education programs. Clark is a faculty member in the Department of Food and Nutrition.
