He Has a Name: Trayvon Martin and the Fight to End Criminalization and Profiling of Black Youth

  • This inaugural Martin Luther King, Jr. Speaker and Cultural Arts Series and annual Black History Month keynote program showcases an interactive panel discussion with Sybrina Fulton and Michael Skolnik, who will provide first-hand accounts of issues surrounding violence, children, and safety in our communities.

Fulton, the mother of Trayvon Martin, is an inspiring speaker and the cofounder of the Trayvon Martin Foundation. Skolnik is a 21st-century American Civil Rights activist, writer, film producer, editor-in-chief of globalgrind.com, and Russell Simmons’ political director. They will share their knowledge individually and in a joint conversation that will be followed by a Q&A session.

Co-sponsored by the African American Cultural Center.
