Fourteen Threats to Academic Freedom

    Keynote speaker for the event will be American Association of University Professors President Cary Nelson. The title of his lecture will be “Fourteen Threats to Academic Freedom.” IUP Provost Gerald Intemann will deliver welcoming remarks.

    Directly following the Six O’clock Series lecture, the English Department will host a symposium featuring former University of Colorado at Boulder Professor Ward Churchill, who will be joined by respondents Jeffrey J. Williams (Carnegie Mellon University) and Sophia McClennen (Penn State University).
