Benjamin

Mimi Benjamin, professor in the Student Affairs in Higher Education Department, presented at the ACPA: College Student Educators International annual convention held in Chicago, IL. Benjamin’s poster presentation, titled “Establishing Belonging through Peer Support Programs for Underrepresented Students,” highlighted findings from an international research project on peer mentoring.

Benjamin and colleagues Claire Hampshire (University of Stafford, UK) and Alan Swede Song Kit (formerly of the National University of Singapore) completed this research as part of a three-year Elton University Center for Engaged Learning Research Seminar.

ACPA: College Student Educators International is one of the two primary student affairs professional organizations. The convention was attended by over 2,000 student affairs professionals, faculty, and students.
