In March 2022, students, faculty, and alumni of the Department of Student Affairs in Higher Education attended the 2022 ACPA Convention in St. Louis, Missouri. This multiday conference is an important opportunity to hear the cutting edge of student affairs practices and research, network with other professionals, and engage in the broader community.

Two SAHE faculty attended and gave presentations. John Mueller gave a presentation titled “Measuring Privileged Identity in Education Environments” with several colleagues from across the country. Mimi Benjamin gave two presentations related to her work on living-learning communities: “Learning Communities as the Place To Be for Success” and “Deepening Faculty and Student Interaction in Living-Learning Communities.”

As well, Benjamin and SAHE alumna Angela Delfine-Mechler ’19 both received the Annuit Coeptis Award, which recognized them for their excellent contributions to the field.

Students, alumni, and faculty joined together on Monday, March 7, at the American Convention Center.
