Nursing majors can engage in many activities outside of the classroom, further enriching their enthusiasm for nursing.
The honor society for nursing students, Sigma Theta Tau recognizes superior achievement and the development of leadership qualities, fosters high professional standards, encourages creative work, and strengthens commitment to the ideas and purposes of the nursing profession. Graduate students qualify after they have completed one-quarter of the nursing curriculum. Members must also have at least a GPA of 3.5 (based on a 4.0 grading scale) and meet the expectation of academic integrity.
