“How Green is Your Nest?” Competition

The “How Green is Your Nest?” competition is open to all IUP residence halls on the Indiana and Punxsutawney campuses. Students will work with the other residents in their IUP residence hall to create a sustainability-focused program or project.

Programs/projects will be scored by a panel of judges based on innovation, relevance to sustainability, level of student involvement, measurability, and the ability to implement the program or project throughout IUP. Program/project submissions must include a written description of the program/project, an explanation of how it relates to sustainability, and a description of the results of the program/project. All submissions must be submitted to Katie Shoemaker, Graduate Assistant—Residential Sustainability Educator at K.Shoemaker@iup.edu by Monday, December 9.

The winning building will receive $350 to be used as programming funds for the residence hall. The second place building will receive $200 in programming funds, and the third place building will receive $100.
