The mission of the IUP Research Institute is to advance the research agenda and educational objectives of Indiana University of Pennsylvania by encouraging, promoting, conducting, administering, and supporting research in the natural sciences, mathematics, humanities, social sciences, education, health and human services, business, information technology, and other academic disciplines.

The Research Institute provides a full range of services designed to provide asupport for IUP faculty and staff pursuing or engaged in externally funded sponsored program activity. The Research Institute is helping to connect researchers with potential sponsors.

IUP Researchers have received funding from a variety of agencies. A diverse array of sponsored programs have been funded by a variety of funding agencies.
