About GCAP

  • The IUP Government Contracting Assistance Program (GCAP) provides procurement technical assistance to firms interested in selling goods or services to local, state, and/or federal governments.

    Additional Services

In addition to technical assistance in selling goods or services to local, state, and/or federal governments, GCAP provides individualized assistance with marketing strategies to reach government agencies.

Funding Source and Regional Service Area

GCAP is funded by a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Department of Defense. Together with our affiliates in Pittsburgh and Greensburg, we service businesses in Allegheny, Armstrong, Fayette, Indiana, and Westmoreland counties.

    Procurement Technical Assistance Program

GCAP is part of a national assistance program administered by the Defense Logistics Agency (Department of Defense) and is commonly referred to as the Procurement Technical Assistance Program (PTAP).

Indiana University of Pennsylvania GCAP, which serves as a Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC), is funded in part through a cooperative agreement from the Department of Defense (DOD) through a program that is administered by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). The content of any written materials or verbal communications of the PTAC does not necessarily reflect the official views of or imply endorsement by DOD or DLA.

    Management Services Group

GCAP is part of the Management Services Group (MSG), an umbrella organization for the IUP Eberly College of Business and Information Technology.
