Psychology for Nursing Students Minor

The minor in psychology for nursing students requires the following coursework:

  • General Psychology (PSYC 101)
  • Psychological Inquiry (PSYC 280) or Research Design and Analysis (PSYC 290) or Research Utilization (NURS 316)
  • Developmental Psychology (PSYC 310)
  • Three other psychology courses that are selected in consultation with the department chair, who serves as advisor to students in the psychology minor. Recommended courses include: Adult Development (PSYC 312), Abnormal Psychology (PSYC 321), Drugs and Behavior (PSYC 372), Stress and Coping (PSYC 374), Health Behavior (PSYC 376), Death and Dying (PSYC 378)
