How I Became Interested in Psychology

As a criminology undergrad, I loved learning about what contributes to harmful behaviors and thinking patterns. Once I decided law school was not the route for me, I lucked out having some great mentors who showed me the different ways psychology can impact mental health and public safety issues simultaneously.

  • Clinical decision-making in forensic settings
  • Practices in sexual violence prevention
  • Effectiveness and consequences of sexual violence legislation

  • Cognitive and legal influences on forensic clinician decision-making
  • Perceptions of sexual assault allegations
  • Sexually Violent Predator commitment decisions
