The psychology faculty includes 25 full-time members. See some of our research and recognition.


The Psychology Department facilities are located primarily in Uhler Hall, on the north edge of campus. Uhler is equipped with state-of-the-art classrooms, computer labs, research labs and  other research facilities, faculty offices, and the  Center for Applied Psychology.  

The department has additional classroom space in Wilson Hall, a half-block across the IUP Oak Grove. Animal research facilities are shared with the Biology Department in Weyandt Hall.

The American Psychological Associationis a scientific and professional organization that represents psychology in the United States. With 148,000 members, APA is the largest association of psychologists worldwide.

The Association for Psychological Science(APS: previously American Psychological Society) is a nonprofit membership organization founded in 1988 to advance scientific psychology and its representation as a science on the national level. Its membership includes over 18,500 psychologists in the United States and abroad whose specialties span the spectrum of scientific, applied, and teaching specialties.
