Pre-Law Society
The IUP Pre-Law Society is a student-run organization that serves as a valuable resource for IUP students who are interested in law school and law-related careers. The organization assists with events such as IUP's Law School Career Day, LSAT prep courses, guest speakers, mock trial, workshops on getting into law school, and more.
The Pre-Law Society offers many benefits to students, including:

- Access to resources compiled by the Pre-Law Society (such as a library of LSAT prep books and information about law schools)
- Opportunities to participate in mock trial and moot court competitions
- Information about law school and law-related careers
- A place to meet other students who share an interest in law school and the legal profession
Pre-Law Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity
Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, International, is a professional service organization composed of pre-law students, law students, legal educators, attorneys, judges and officials. Phi Alpha Delta was founded in 1902 for the purpose of promoting professional competency within the legal profession.
The fundamental objective of P.A.D.'s Pre-Law Program is to assist undergraduate students to make an "informed choice" in selecting law as a career, deciding which law school to attend, and in preparing for the rigors of law school.
The IUP Pre-Law Chapter of P.A.D. was chartered in the spring of 2004.
