Judith Smet-Weiss has
provided environmental, safety, and health program management and consulting
to government, manufacturing, industry, and construction for over 30 years.
She has been with the PA/OSHA Consultation Program at Indiana
University of Pennsylvania since 2019.
Smet-Weiss has worked
in aerospace, construction, communications, chemical manufacturing,
commercial printing, commercial baking, waste industries, warehousing, and
pulp and paper process environments. Within the PA/OSHA Consultation
Program, she consults small employers from a wide range of businesses. The
primary focus of her consultation visits is to assist and advise small
employers regarding OSHA compliance and safety program development.
Her bachelor of science degree in physical science education was obtained from the University of Wisconsin. Smet-Weiss has additional MS degree progress in industrial hygiene from
Temple University. She is both a Lehigh
Valley Section and national member of the American Society of Safety
Professionals, where she is the current treasurer. . Smet-Weiss is an
OSHA Authorized Outreach Construction Safety trainer. On the environmental
side, Judith is a Certified Erosion and Sediment Controls Inspector (CISEC).
