  • Freshman January Orientation

    This orientation is for students starting classes in January 2020. (There is not a parent orientation for January). Your orientation participation on Day 1 will run from check-in (11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.) in the Humanities and Social Sciences Building until 8:30 p.m. On Day 2, you may have breakfast in the dining hall beginning at 7:15 am. Please be at the Humanities and Social Science Building by 8:00 am. The program will run until 1:00 p.m.

      The parent and family program is designed to share necessary information about your student’s transition to college life and how you, and those in his/her support network, can assist with the experience.

      Parents residing in the program residence hall must follow IUP residential requirements, including no use of alcohol or drugs in a residence hall. All parents should be aware that there may be no alcohol or drug activity on the IUP campus. (There will not be a parent and family orientation for the December or January orientations.)
