Sarah, an avid equestrian, enjoys the fact that she will be able to complete her Bachelor of Science in Management degree at the IUP at Northpointe campus through a combination of face-to-face and online courses.
“My search for a college went full circle,” said the local student from Slate Lick, Pa. “I was looking into schools in Montana, Ohio and Colorado that offered equine degrees, yet after speaking with many horse trainers I was persuaded to major in a non-equestrian field as knowledge of horses can be better learned through experience and internships.”
“That is what led me to business management; fortunately, IUP at Northpointe offers a bachelor’s in management degree; a portion of my degree is online which allows me to make my own schedule,” said Sarah, who is a dean’s list student. “Outside of school I train and show horses, work a couple part-time/small jobs, and play recreational soccer.”
“This campus is a wonderful transition from high school to college because it offers the quality academics of college without completely overwhelming the student with size.” said Sarah, who enjoys the quiet learning environment and one-on-one time the IUP at Northpointe campus affords her.
