Students and African American Cultural Center Donate to Local Food Bank

The Ujamaa Living Learning Floor (Delaney Hall) and the IUP African American Cultural Center sponsored a food drive as the final community service project of the Fall 2010 semester.

Princes Honored at Association for Black Culture Centers National Conference

Dr. Carolyn Princes, associate dean of students for multicultural affairs and director of the IUP African American Cultural Center, was presented with several awards at the twentieth annual national conference of the Association for Black Culture Centers in November 2010.

Princes Receives Invitation for National Conference

Carolyn Princes, associate dean of Students and director of the African American Cultural Center, received an invitation from the National Conference on Higher Education to sponsor thirty students and two other chaperones to the Graduate Opportunities Conference for Minority Students in Higher Education.

African American Cultural Center to Host MLK Activities Monday, January 17, 2011

The African American Cultural Center presents two events on Monday, January 17, 2011, in honor of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., national holiday, which is also promoted as a day of volunteer community service.
