“Soldier’s Heart” Next for Theater-by-the-Grove

Theater-by-Grove at IUP will present the drama “Soldier’s Heart,” written by Pittsburgh playwright Tammy Ryan, on February 19–21 and 25–28, with a post-performance talk with the playwright after the matinee on Sunday, February 22.

Graham Dance Educational Outreach Announced

The world-renowned Martha Graham Dance Company will visit Indiana for a performance at Fisher Auditorium on March 2, 2015. The dance company will also hold a masterclass on the famed “Graham Technique” on Sunday, March 1, and a mini Tech Workshop on Monday, March 2.

Four Theater Students Receive Awards at Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival

Amos Glass, Sarah Fabiani, Kim Siegle, Chelsea Kikel, Shane Malachow, and Kaitlyn McGilvray received awards for their abilities in design, technology, stage management and directing.

Theater Student Chelsea Kikel Wins Major Award in Sound Design at Festival

Student actor and sound designer Chelsea Kikel won the Kennedy Center Award for Sound Design from Region 2 of the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival in January 2015.

Faculty-Student Present Labanotation Research

Professor of Dance Holly Boda-Sutton and one of her former students presented “Labanotation: a Fun Tool for Incorporating Movement Into the Physical Education Class” to the Arts Education Collaborative by invitation after their presentation at the Arts Education Symposium in Harrisburg.

Seeking Child Actors for IUP Theater Production
