White Walls Art Auction at University Museum

The University Museum at IUP will host the IUP Graduate Art Association’s inaugural White Walls Art Auction on Saturday, March 7, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m.

Lively Arts Head Named to National Board and as Canadian Conference Delegate

Hank Knerr, executive director of the Lively Arts with IUP’s College of Fine Arts, was elected to the board of directors for the North American Performing Arts Managers and Agents.

Knerr Elected President of Pennsylvania Presenters

Hank Knerr, director of the Lively Arts at IUP, was recently elected to serve a two-year term beginning July 1, 2014, as president of the board of directors for Pennsylvania Presenters.

Chalk-on-the Walk Postponed Until May 5

Due to inclement weather, the annual Sidewalk Commentary Contest, originally scheduled for Wednesday, April 30, and then moved to May 2, has been rescheduled for Monday, May 5.

Chalk-on-the-Walk has been postponed until Monday, May 5. The annual Sidewalk Commentary Contest, a.k.a. “Chalk-on-the-Walk,” is an annual student contest presented by the IUP College of Fine Arts and the IUP chapter of the National Art Education Association.

Music Department to Receive Pipe Organ from American Guild of Organists

The Department of Music will add a notable instrument this spring to its already vast keyboard collection. In May 2014, the department will make way amid its 93 Steinway pianos for the Pogorzelski-Yankee Memorial Organ, valued at $400,000.
