Two members of the Department of Nursing and Allied Health Professions recently presented at the twenty-first annual International Research Congress in Orlando, Florida. The conference is organized by Sigma Theta Tau International, the Honor Society of Nursing.
Faculty member Dr. Kristy Chunta presented on “Determining Preoperative and Postoperative Predictors of Physical Health Status (PHS) in Open-Heart Surgery Patients.”
Doctoral Nursing student Nina Kaktins, MS, RN, presented on “Case Studies of Self-Silencing in Women Leaders of Baccalaureate Nursing Programs.”
The International Research Congress was attended by more than 740 nurse researchers and leaders from more than forty countries to share knowledge, make connections, and impact world health.
