The Office of Conference Services is once again bringing the Advanced Dog Show Judges Institute to IUP from August 9–13, 2010.
Participants come from all over the United States to this prestigious institute to learn advanced-level judging or how to judge a breed that is new to them. Participants will be in lecture workshops each morning, Monday through Friday, during which they will learn the different standards for judging the various breeds. In the afternoon they will be tested on what they have learned as they judge the different breeds during the mock dog show set up in front of Zink Hall.
There are seven different groups of dogs: Herding, Working, Sporting, Toy, Terrier, Non-sporting, and Hound. This year, each of those groups will have fourteen breeds throughout the week. If you would like to know which breed will be here each day, please e-mail the Office of Conference Services at firstname.lastname@example.org for a complete schedule.
