Seasonal influenza (flu) vaccines will be available free to students starting September 18, 2009.
Free student flu vaccination clinics will be held:
You must attend a clinic in order to get the free seasonal flu shot. We are not able to give the vaccine during patient care hours due to high census. Vaccine is available first-come, first-serve while supplies last. If supplies run out, we will attempt to get more vaccine and hold more clinics. No appointment is necessary. Students must present IUP photo I-card.
This is the seasonal (annual) flu shot, not the H1N1 (Swine) Flu shot. H1N1 vaccine is not available yet. Clinics will be held once that vaccine becomes available.
The staff and faculty flu vaccination clinics will be held in October once that vaccine arrives. Preregistration for staff and faculty was required through the IUP Human Resources Department benefits office. If you registered for a free flu vaccine, you should have received an e-mail from the Department of Health with a link to obtain your Commonwealth Employee Adult Influenza Vaccine Record form. You will need to print this form and take it with you when you go to receive your vaccine.
