Penguins Victory Gives Alumnus/Trainer Second Stanley Cup

Chris Stewart ’93, M’96, the Penguins’ head trainer, will soon spend his second day in possession of the Stanley Cup.

In 2006, after his NHL rookie year as associate athletic trainer with that year’s champions, the Carolina Hurricanes, he got custody of the trophy for a day and, as Bob Fulton put it in an IUP Magazine story, “squired hockey’s holy grail around Cambria County.”
