Sweeny Elected Associate Editor of Studies in Art Education

Robert Sweeny, professor of art education, was elected to the position of associate editor of Studies in Art Education in fall 2018. Sweeny will assume this position at the National Art Education Association annual meeting, being held March 12–16, 2019, in Boston, Massachusetts.

Sweeny will serve as associate editor for two years, and will then assume the position of editor for a two-year term. Following this, he will serve as senior editor for two years.

Studies in Art Education is the premiere research journal in the field of art education. Studies is published by Taylor and Francis.

From the NAEA website: “Studies in Art Education is a quarterly journal which reports quantitative, qualitative, historical, and philosophical research in art education, including explorations of theory and practice in the areas of art production, art criticism, aesthetics, art history, human development, curriculum and instruction, and assessment. Studies also publishes reports of applicable research in related fields such as anthropology, education, psychology, philosophy, and sociology.”
