IUP is competing in the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge, a competition among all 14 State System schools to see how many students register to vote. The deadline to register to vote in Pennsylvania’s general election is Tuesday, October 9.
Volunteers will help students register to vote on the first floor of Stapleton Library from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
If you can’t make it, there are still many ways you can register. Pennsylvania students can register to vote online, or download a blank voter registration form. You can check your registration status, find your polling place, and apply for an absentee ballot at VotesPA. Non-Pennsylvania residents should verify their state’s voter registration deadline and registration procedures. For more information, visit the federal voter registration site.
If you’re living on or near campus, you can use your local address to vote. It’s important to remember, if you live in a residence hall, you must use the physical street address of your residence hall for your address and your Crimson Hawks address as the address where you receive mail.
You can drop off your completed voter registration forms at the Center for Multicultural Student Leadership and Engagement in Elkin Hall 128 or at the Office of Housing, Residential Living, and Dining in Ruddock G-37.
