Ten million albums later and still proving to be a force to be reckoned with, country supergroup Lonestar, with special guest Nathan King, will take the stage at the Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex on Thursday, May 24, at 7:30 p.m.
Lonestar is known for merging their country roots with strong melodies and rich vocals. Comprised of Richie McDonald (lead vocals), Michael Britt (lead guitar and backing vocals), Keech Rainwater (drums), and Dean Sams (keyboards and backing vocals), Lonestar has amassed RIAA-certified sales in excess of 10 million album units. Since their national launch in 1995, they have had over 20 singles on the Hot Country song chart. The band has had 10 number one country hits, including “No News,” “Come Crying To Me,” and their crossover smash “Amazed” (which was also number one on the Billboard Hot 100, the first record since 1983’s “Islands in the Stream” to top both charts).
The group has recorded seven albums, one EP, and a greatest hits package for the defunct BNA Records, and one album each for three different independent labels
IUP students, faculty, and staff can save on tickets when they present their I-Card at the KCAC Box Office.
