Lowery Speaks at NASPA Student Affairs Law Conference

John Wesley Lowery was an invited speaker at the recent 2017 NASPA: Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education Student Affairs Law Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana, December 10–12, 2018.

Lowery, who has spoken at the conference on a number of occasions, presented on the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Lowery also presented a pre-conference workshop with Bill Fischer, “Navigating the Current Landscape of Complex Issues Facing Student Affairs Practitioners: Legal, Policy, and Practical Considerations.” He also served as a member of the conference planning committee.

Lowery, professor and chair of the Department of Student Affairs in Higher Education, is broadly regarded as one of the leading authorities on legal and legislative issues and student affairs.
