Indiana University of Pennsylvania will host the second IUP Veterans Resource Fair on November 13, 2017, from 10:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m. in the Hadley Union Building (HUB). Other Veterans Day events include a Veterans Day lunch and the Six O’Clock Series
The Resource Fair is free and open to the community, and will include a vendor fair and opportunities for networking.
Vendors for the event include: Indiana County VA office; Indiana County VA Outpatient Clinic; Butler, Pittsburgh, and Altoona VA Hospitals; DuBois Vet Center; Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank; PA CareerLink; Indiana County Department of Human Services; Northern
Cambria Community Development Corporation; Indiana County Community Action Program; Veterans of Foreign Wars; and Veterans Providers Group, HUDVAS.
The lunch, cosponsored by the IUP Military and Veterans Resource Center and the Indiana County Veterans Service Providers Group, is free
but only open to IUP military-affiliated students, faculty, and staff who have a lunch voucher. To get a lunch voucher, contact the MVRC, or stop by the office located in Pratt Hall 101-102.
Keynote speaker CJ Jaynes, a retired Navy rear admiral and an IUP Distinguished Alumna, will speak as part of the university’s Six O’Clock Series program in the Ohio Room of the HUB at 6:00 p.m.
The IUP MVRC, opened in 2014, works collaboratively with IUP programs and services as a one-stop information and referral site to help students and their families who are veterans or military-affiliated to transition to college life and achieve their
academic goals. The Center is directed by Cory Shay.
