The Department of Hospitality Management is honored and excited to welcome Jeffrey Santicola, MSEd, FMP, CCC, as the newest faculty member in the department. After serving three years on the faculty in IUP’s Culinary Arts program, Santicola is most excited to return to his
teaching roots here at IUP’s Department of Hospitality Management, where he will serve as the department’s food and beverage instructor.
Santicola has over 27 years of experience in the food service and hospitality industry. He is a former member of both the Lake Shore Chaine Des Rotisseurs and the Groundhog Chapter of the American Culinary Federation. In addition, he has held numerous certifications from the National Restaurant Association’s Education Foundation.
Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Santicola has had the opportunity to serve Western Pennsylvania communities for the majority of his career. His educational background is from Western Pennsylvania with degrees earned at both Edinboro and Robert Morris universities,
and his industry background is diverse in both private ownership and large chain restaurant management.
His past accomplishments in education include serving as dean of Academic Studies and HRM Program dean at Le Cordon Bleu’s Pennsylvania Culinary
Institute in Pittsburgh, where his work afforded him the opportunity to earn Employee of the Year in 2006 and High Achievers in 2007. In 2008 he was promoted to director of Education for Le Cordon Bleu Schools North America at the corporate office
of Career Education Corporation as a valued member of their Culinary Education Team.
He joined IUP’s Academy of Culinary Arts in summer 2014 after serving over 10 years at Le Cordon Bleu Schools North America.
