Posted on 9/14/2017 9:22:58 AM

The College of Education and Communications’ Diversity and Inclusion Taskforce is sponsoring a webinar on “How to Facilitate Difficult Dialogues in the Classroom” presented by Kathy Obear.

Obear is president of the Alliance for Change Consulting and co-founder for the Social Justice Training Institute. She has over 30 years of experience as an organizational development consultant and trainer specializing in creating inclusion, team and organizational effectiveness, conflict resolution, and change management.

By attending this webinar, instructors will gain the tools needed to create an inclusive classroom, promote engaged conversations, and learn how to approach and de-escalate triggered reactions. This program will provide criteria allowing you to decide whether to engage or table these difficult conversations for a future setting.

The Diversity and Inclusion Taskforce hopes this webinar will positively affect your students’ success.
